How much does a website cost in Argentina in 2026
How much does a website cost in Argentina? Prices by type of site, the costs that often get left out and how to compare quotes without any surprises.

If you are thinking about getting your own website, the first question is always the same: how much does a website cost? The short answer is that it depends on the type of site, and in Argentina the range goes from a landing page with a single goal to an online store with a catalog, payments and shipping.
As a reference, at Pixie Estudio (prices as of September 2026) a landing page starts at ARS 150,000, a corporate website at ARS 250,000 and an online store from ARS 350,000, always as a one-time development fee with hosting billed separately. In this guide we explain what each number depends on, which costs tend to be left out of a quote and how to compare proposals without any surprises.
The figures in this post are Pixie Estudio's and are meant as a starting point. Other studios, agencies and freelancers charge differently depending on their scope; what matters is learning how to compare. All prices are in Argentine pesos (ARS), so what they come to in your own currency changes with the exchange rate.
How much does a website cost, by type of site
Not every website does the same job, which is why they do not cost the same. These are the three formats people ask for most:
| Type of site | What it is for | Scope | Pixie reference | Estimated time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page | Presenting an offer and generating inquiries | Up to 5 sections | ARS 150,000 | 7–10 business days |
| Corporate website | Showing your whole business and building trust | Up to 5 pages | ARS 250,000 | 15–20 business days |
| Online store | Selling products with payments and shipping | Initial upload of up to 20 products | From ARS 350,000 | 20–30 business days |
You can see the details of each one at Express Landing Page, Corporate Website and Online Store. These are one-time development fees; hosting is paid separately, as you will see below.
What the price of a website depends on
Two quotes for "a website" can differ enormously because they are not measuring the same thing. These are the factors that weigh the most:
- Number of pages or sections. More content means more design, more layout work and more testing. A one-screen page cannot be compared with a five-page site.
- Custom design or template. An adapted template is cheaper at first; a design built around your business takes more work, but it sets you apart from the competition more clearly.
- Content. The texts, photos and logo have to exist. If you do not have them, they need to be written, photographed or designed, and that adds up.
- Extra features. Forms, bookings, payments, a product catalog or connections with other tools add technical work.
- Timeline. The more urgent it is, the harder it is to fit into the schedule of whoever is building it.
- Who builds it. A freelancer, a small studio and a large agency have different cost structures, and that shows in the final price.
The costs that often get left out of the quote
The development price is only one part. Before you decide, ask about these expenses, which show up after launch:
- Hosting. This is the service where your website "lives" so that it is online 24 hours a day. You pay for it every month. At Pixie it is a monthly subscription with a base value of ARS 40,000, subject to variations of the service.
- Domain. This is your address on the internet (for example,
yourcompany.com.ar). It is renewed every year and has to be registered in your name. At Pixie the registration of a standard domain is included for the first year; the renewal is separate. - Professional email. Having
[email protected]instead of a free account inspires more trust. It is best if it comes already set up. - Texts, photographs and logo. If you do not have them yet, they are a separate job. You can sort out your visual identity first or define your messages with a content strategy.
- Later changes. A living website gets updated: prices, photos, new texts. If every change is quoted separately, the expense piles up. At Pixie you can buy an hours bank (ARS 25,000 per hour) or subscribe to monthly maintenance.
- Third-party fees. If you sell online, the payment gateway (for example, Mercado Pago) charges a fee on every sale. It is paid directly to each provider and is not part of the price of the website.
Template or custom design: which is better
There is no single answer. A template is a good option if you have a small budget and need to launch quickly with something tidy. Custom design makes sense when the website is a central tool for your business: when you have to explain several services, stand out from similar competitors or take great care of your brand image.
What you should avoid is paying for "custom" and receiving an unadapted template, or the other way around. Ask for the quote to state clearly what you are getting.
How much it costs to maintain a website each month
A published website has recurring expenses. As an example, with Pixie's base values:
- Hosting: ARS 40,000 per month.
- Two hours of changes per month, at ARS 25,000 per hour: ARS 50,000.
- Total when bought separately: ARS 90,000.
Pixie's monthly maintenance brings together hosting and 2 hours of changes for ARS 75,000 a month, with priority support and a monthly review of your website. These are base values.
How to compare quotes without getting lost
When you have two or three proposals, do not look only at the final number. Compare these points:
- What exactly is included. Number of pages or sections, mobile version, contact form, WhatsApp button, rounds of revisions.
- Timelines and what they need from you. Timelines are usually counted from the moment you approve the scope and hand over the content.
- Who owns the domain and the hosting. They should be in your name or, at the very least, you should be able to access them and take them with you.
- What happens after launch. Who answers if something breaks and how much it costs to make a change.
- How you pay. The usual arrangement is a deposit to reserve your slot and the balance as the work advances. At Pixie the payment terms are agreed in the quote before we start, so you know exactly what you pay and when.
- What is NOT included. A good quote also makes that clear: copywriting, photography, migrations, integrations.
Warning signs when asking for quotes
- A very low price with no written scope. If it does not say what is included, the "extras" show up later.
- The promise of appearing first on Google. Nobody can guarantee it: rankings depend on many factors and on the competition. What can be done is to leave the site well prepared; you can see what Google recommends in its SEO starter guide.
- Domain and hosting in the provider's name, with no access for you.
- No mention of the mobile version. Today a large share of visits come from phones.
- No clear channel for asking for changes or support.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for a website in installments?
It depends on who builds it. At Pixie the payment terms are agreed in the quote before we start: a deposit to reserve your slot and the balance as the work advances, or the full amount up front. Either way you know what you pay and when.
Is hosting included in the price of the website?
Not in Pixie's development plans: hosting is paid separately as a monthly subscription. It is included in the monthly maintenance plan.
How long does it take to be ready?
It depends on the type of site and on how quickly you have the content. As a reference, a landing page takes 7 to 10 business days, a corporate website 15 to 20 and an online store 20 to 30, counted from the moment the scope is approved and the content is delivered.
Is a website worth it if I already have Instagram?
Social networks are good for showing yourself and having conversations, but the platform sets the rules and the reach. A website is a place of your own: people who search for you on Google find it, you control it and you can measure what works. Ideally the two work together.
Can I start small and grow later?
Yes, and it is a good strategy. Many businesses start with a landing page and add a full site when the business calls for it. If you are torn between the two options, read Landing page or corporate website: which to choose.
